Salvation
Salvation - wholeness in every area of our life - is humankind's deliverance from guilt and sin's pollution. This great deliverance was made available by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To obtain this jpgt of deliverance, all you must do is to accept a few basic truths:
- God's not mad at you and He wants you to have this abundant life. John 10:10
- The reason we haven't yet received this abundant life is because this sinful world and our own self-will has separated us from God. Romans 3:23
- God loves us so much that He made a way for us to have a healthy relationship with Him by offering his son as a sacrifice. 1 Peter 3:18
- Our part of creating a relationship with God is accepting the work Jesus did for us. It's as easy as A-B-C:
ADMIT that you're a sinner in need of God. Romans 6:23
BELIEVE that Jesus died and rose again for your sins. Romans 5:8
CONFESS Jesus as Lord of your life. Romans 10:9How to Pray:
Dear God, I believe you love me and want a relationship with me. I acknowledge Jesus Christ is your Son and believe His blood was shed for my sins. I acknowledge I have disobeyed your commandments and have been separated from you. I ask you to forgive me for these sins. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life and to help me do my best to obey your teachings. Thank you for making me a Christian - a child of Almighty God! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
If you said that prayer and truly believed it, then you have been saved and received God's jpgt of deliverance. The Bible says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
