It's God's desire to be in a relationship with people. You were created with purpose by God and He sees you as His masterpiece. Has God ever seemed distant? What does the Bible say about that? 1 Timothy 3.16-17

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

This changes everything! God loves you and has given you His Word and His Spirit in order to know Him more and more. Sometimes its difficult to understand, sometimes it raises way more questions about who He is and who we are; but, it points to Jesus as the Saviour of the world and our reason for living is wrapped up in His love for us.
